Shift
Shift, the used-car marketplace, needed an MVP prototype credible enough to help raise their next round. They already had a starting prototype, but it had interaction problems that got in the way of the story they needed to tell investors.
I came in to resolve those interaction issues, refresh the visual design, and code a fully functioning responsive front end. The result helped them secure funding, which is exactly the kind of commercial outcome an early-stage team hopes a fractional design-and-build partner can deliver. Shift has since wound down, but the work stands as a clear example of design and code in service of a raise.
What I did
- Diagnosed and fixed interaction issues in an existing prototype
- Refreshed the visual design
- Coded a fully functioning responsive front-end MVP
- Delivered a prototype that supported a successful raise
